I am always amazed that the wonderful arguments presented here with respect to the origins of life never move further upstream to the matter of birth control. God has provided us with those singular elements within a man and a woman that when combined with his blessing result in the conception of human life. I think the verse “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb”. Jeremiah 1:5 underscores the point I am making. The verses, ” Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, 10 for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.” Hebrews 7:10 confirms the point even further.
Let us look to ourselves.

John,
You are correct, we have not addressed the issue of birth control here. Maybe when I have developed a clear position in my own mind on this subject we can address it. As a general rule, I don’t discuss many things here that I don’t have a clear position on.
Birth control is one of those areas I have not considered in depth and would not comment on it until I have.
