And you think Todd Bentley is a ‘Man of God’
May 29, 2008
Todd Bentley says he loves the Roman Catholic mass and has been demon possessed as a Christian?
Consider this article, Can Christians Become Demon-Possessed?, by John MacArthur.

Please see “A Call for Discernment” by going to http://www.justinpeters.org. Justin is an evangelist and in addition to expository preaching, also holds seminars on the “Word of Faith” movement. He has cerebral palsy and concurs with the apostle Paul, “My grace is sufficient for thee.”

I have been watching the florida outpouring from Sri Lanka for the last one month. We are Roman Catholic, but we are also involved with a catholoc charismatic community called the Risen Lord Community and we attend a weekly prayer meeting somewhat similar to whats happening in Florida. I feel Todd is indeed a man of God. I love his Zeal for the Lord and love the way share the word of God. Me & my family feel the moving of the Holy spirit simply by watching his meetings night after night on God TV. I have even had a healing. Praise the Lord! Todd you are blessed a thousand times over as many persecute you since you are a witness to our Lord Jesus. May God always be with you

Roshini,
First, I want to thank you for your comments.
Let me now say that your involvement in a catholic ‘charismatic’ community and your feelings about Mr. Bentley are not the standard we should use when evaluating the ministry of Todd Bentley. The standard to be used is the Word of God. We (true Christians) have been given the Word of God so we would not be deceived by false teachers like Todd Bentley.
Manifestation, sign and wonders, and healings are not signs in and of themselves of a true move of God. A true move of God will always be preceded by fervent prayer. A true revival will always be centered on Jesus Christ and the gospel. Through the preaching of the Word of God people will be convicted of Sin and turn to Christ in repentance.
If you are Roman Catholic as you say, I first pray you will relinquish the doctrines of men you have been taught and turn to Christ in faith alone that you might be justified by Him and united with Christ forever.
I also pray that you will turn away from the ministry of Todd Bentley and others like him and seek ministries based on the Word of God.

I shared this with our members the other day and thought I would share it here as it seems their are a lot of people that are judging Todd Bentley:(
Today’s Bible Verse, Thought & Prayer for 07-02-08
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Matthew 7:2/NIV
Thought…
Jesus is concerned that we not have a critical spirit toward others, especially about their motives as to why they did something. We can’t assume to know another person’s heart; only God can. When we are unfairly critical, overly harsh, or unduly judgmental, we need to remember that God will use that same standard on us. I don’t know about you, but I need grace. So do those I love. I’m going to try very hard to be as gracious toward others as I’m trusting that God is going to be gracious with me.
Prayer…
Forgive me, Abba Father, for the times that I’ve been far more critical of others than I should be. Arouse within me a passion to be gracious toward others so that they can see your graciousness shining through me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Hi I am interested in the link between the Kansas City Prophets (so called), John Wimber, The Toronto blessing (so called), the pensecola outpouring, the Alpha Course, Todd Bentley. All these so called moves of God do not bring revival but are crafty vehicles used by Satan to make blind sheep accept Roman Catholicism as a bone fide Christian denomination.
I believe these are all signs of the last days apostasy dragging, leading, scripturally blind, discernment lacking believers into a one world church based in Rome (Rev. 17.)
I read the last post, above, and realised the message was worded as a kind of “don’t judge others or you will be judged.” But we do not judge by ourselves. We judge according to scripture and in doing so we find the Roman Catholic church is an apostate religion…if it ever was part of the true church.
We use the scripture, the word of God and that is what judges, not us.
The Council of Trent, over 100 times, condemns to Hell any who believe they are saved by grace through faith alone. Read the Council of Trent. Pope John XXIII affirmed that the Vatican supports every word of Trent.
Rome prays to dead people something condemned in Deuteronomy.
Rome prays to Mary a wonderful, but dead, Jewish believer. Mary cannot hear you. She is too busy worshipping her Messiah!
Rome honours statues of dead people something again condemned in the ten commandments.
Rome holds the Mass in which it believes Jesus is there on the altar suffering every bit as much as he did on the cross…..what a blasphemy to the one who cried “IT IS FINISHED.” Rome says “no it is not finished, it continues” and in the process believes it has the power to pull Christ from his throne in heaven and reduce the Son of God to a piece of bread on earth.
If you really are following the Jesus of the Bible leave the Roman Catholic church and stick solely to scripture and not man made traditions that contradict the Word of God because in the end that will be what judges you not us
May he lead you into all truth.
