Hidden spiral-binding, 9″ x 9″. 150 pages. Ages 12 & up.
The Complete Zoo Adventure is a book co-written by former evolutionist Dr. Gary Parker and his wife Mary. Dr. Parker has lectured widely for both the Institute for Creation Research and Answers in Genesis.
The material is geared primarily toward the 8 to 13 year old reader. The book itself has a wire-wound binding for easy page turning. In the back is a tool kit with 27 field-fact cards, 3 field journals, 12 name badges, and more. It’s literally a journey in a book.
The book is set up in three sections: Before, during, and after a trip to the zoo. The “before” portion tries to set the stage to give students a proper worldview perspective. For example, this section looks at why the animals are behind bars. This is important because as Dr. Parker points out, although Charles Darwin correctly observed the war of nature, he was wrong in regard to what it meant.
Devotions are also included because Dr. Parker believes they set the stage for looking at God’s world through His eyes. There are seven introductory devotions of two pages each, a Bible page, as well as a science application page that prepares readers for their page-turning trip to the zoo.
Be prepared to learn about the incredible peacock, the hovering hummingbird, the fruit bat, wolves, and polar bears; all on this edition of Crosstalk that celebrates many fascinating aspects of God’s wonderful animal kingdom.
