David,

Don't be too offended. I would encourage you to articulate your beliefs from Scripture and see what happens.

How can someone say that Calvinism is a deception and misrepresentation of the Gospel? As a 5-point Calvinist, I take a high offense to that. I believe wholeheartedly in the Sovereignty of God, the inerrant Word known as the Bible, and am completely fed up with this debate. Just because you see Scripture the way you do does not mean that you know what it truly says. The same goes for me. I believe in Calvinism, but maybe I won't be 100% on point when I see the Lord. I don't know. Maybe it's a mix. I personally believe it is a paradox that can not be argued. Either way, get over yourself and let God's Word speak.

I just want to thank Shane for putting up this sight. I do know of Shane & will speak of his passion of the truth & his dedication to the Lord. Man, I appreciate ya & support ya in your love for the Word. Blessings-Scott

As someone who graduated from an Assemblies of God institution this horrifies me. For years, the Assemblies have upheld a strong view of Scripture & a suspicious view of universalism, as far as my experience has been. This saddens me deeply but it's not suprising. Paul warned of us of people from within that would creep & teach false doctrine. If these things are true, the church needs to clean house. Oh God have mercy on us...lets call things for what they are...

Eric,

I am curious, as an A/G pastor, how are you employing Jude 3 against the insurgence of the emergent mindset in the A/G?

Are you concerned enough to call out seminary professors teaching such heresy.

Now for the comment on Calvinism. I have no doubt that some, taking the title Calvinist, are a danger to truth in the Church. For me, I never have and never will take on the label Arminian or Calvinist. I think the following is helpful here:

Hey brother - as an A/G pastor whose comment you quote above - the emergent church isn't the only deception lurking today - another equally as great. or greater deception is known as "Calvinism". Its dangerous misrepresentation of the gospel is both dangerous and unbiblical.
