Rod Parsley’s Latest Unabashed Plug For Money

The following is an email I just received from the ministry of Rod Parsley. I would encourage you to call the number at the bottom of the email and in humility request that this ministry repent of their shameless selling of the Gospel.
Brother Parsley, in the boldness of the Lord, the battle plan we need comes from the Word of God, not your book. I would further assert your most recent book has been released primarily to generate financial gain for you and your ministry.

Dear Mr Parsley
The only book that needs to get into the hands of our leaders and power brokers such as the President and Vice President, and all of the top political people in the US is the BIBLE. Rod, you can’t save the world or preserve it. God is going to judge the earth and destroy it with His mighty hand. YOU are blind to think that you can change the world with Your book! You need to repent and confess the real sin in your life and the lie your are selling here…….YOU are prostituting the name of Jesus for your own financial gain. You need to repent and turn to Faith in Jesus Christ ……..not the money of the world.

You said it all, Julie. Sounds like Mr. Parsley needs to brush up on another book…it’s called Revelation! Read it and weep, Mr. Parsley. Or, better yet…repent!

The Bible tells us to occupy until He comes. Occupation does not mean to sit still. The purpose of the book, as I see it, is to wake up complacent, lazy Christians to the state of the nation, the world and their own back yards.
Why does any Christian give any money to any ministry, other than the tithe? To reach the lost and advance the kingdom of God. I would dearly LOVE to find a handful of ministries in these United States that were doing anything approaching the level of ministry and scope of ministries produced by Rod Parsley and the good people of World Harvest Church. It is by faith that we are saved, and that not of works…. but it is just as true that “faith without works is dead…”
Ignorance is no excuse for touching the Lord’s anointed. I was as ignorant as others a few years ago. After 3 years of observation, investigation and prayer, no from a distance, but up close, I am convinced that Rod Parsley is genuine, is definitely not a money-grubber and, while so many are complaining and whining, he is doing the work God has ordained and directed.

It is a misuse of the word ‘Great’ and ‘Awakening’ to say that “I need your financial help now to spread the word of this Great Awakenng”
What a load of @#*$&^@ . This cesspool of used car salesmen techniques is an affront to the true Gospel. Have we no shame in how we present God to a dead and dying culture.
Poor Rob, if only he knew what he sounds like. Mock anointing, mock gospel, mock motivation all centered around the king of self.
If there was a great awakening you do not have to raise funds to afvertise it. The fire of God will bring a nation to its knees and there will be no room for hollywood marketing.
Maybe Jonah should have written a book and sold it to the masses of Nineveh rather then being that prophet (rather than profit) of repentance. True revival will never need advertising, books, media, TV, etc etc.
All those trinkets and baubles mere simulate and create the hype so destroying much of the body of Christ today…
God send true revival…

I want to thank everyone for their comments on this post. As Christians, we must remember to share the truth in love (Eph. 4:15). We must speak the truth and contend for the faith (true faith). So, to that end, may we continue to pray for men like Parsley to turn back to God and repent of their marketing of this counterfeit Gospel. May they return to sharing the truth.
Motive is what matters here. Is Parsley, along with a host of other false teachers out there, churning out resources to really equip the body or to line their pockets? The latter I fear is true!

It is a great experience for every believer to read to read Pastor Rod Parsley’s important book of this century ‘ Culturally Incorrect’.In these days of corruption,chaos and confusion the truth is unfolded as we read this book carefully.Indeed there are a few remnant God is preparing in this great nation .God is at work for the true believers and preachers like Pastor Rod Parsley who deliberately attempt to reach the Gospel to the masses in the United States of America and around the world .We must press on to bring changes in the culture in our world in order to unite for the building of the true church that our Lord Jesus Christ is looking for. I believe in sowing the seed of faith not only for our needs but to work out for our own salvation .I join the believers in exercising the faith and be a witness to other people.It is true as mentioned in the book,that the journey of spiritual life is not just growing and learning but with serving.

Hi, someone told me they had heard Rod Parsley might have “repented” of his prosperity message recently and that he has changed his tune as far as what he preaches about. Do you know if this is true?

I don’t think what you have heard is true. Rod Parsley’s message has not changed at all to my knowledge. All you have to do is watch TBN to see for yourself.

Pastor Rod,
We love you and we thank God for the anointing of God that rests on your life. You helped me years ago when I was in sin and looking for a closer walk with the Lord. When I was in my college dorm, when ever your broadcast went off the air , I would have bruises on my thigh from running into furniture while I was dancing and praising God. I bless His name for your ministry and what can be said about Mother Parsley. She spoke life to me at one of my lowest points. I thank the Lord for the territory that has been gained as a result of your ministry. As you know, one moment they cried, “Hosanna!” The next it was, “Crucify Him!” We rejoice and find renewed confidence in our critics, but the question is, “Can they truly handle the God that judges every word we speak?” You will always be one of God’s ranking generals! Be blessed, rejoice and shout, “Glory!”

I have emphezema,a bad heart, a pulmonary tumor at the base of my brain.I have fibromialgia that is the worst pain you can imagine.I had a broke back and neck that had to be fused with medal so that I can hold my head up.I couldnt turn to the side.I have artheritis so bad it takes 2 hrs. for me to get started of the mornings.My bowels had stopped working and I am severe anemic.I have sleep apenaI am manic depressant bi-polarMy foot was crushed in the wreck.I wasnt walking except when I had to.The pain is so unberable that I have a pain pump inside me and I am a severe insominac.and I was eating pain pills like they were nothingI had dauladid in my pump that with anyone else would workI also have an ovarian cyst that also showed cancer cells.I had 12 different Drs $ were specialist.I couldnt keep up with the appointments and there was nothing they can do but send me somewhere else.about 6 mths. ago I had enough.i started every night going to Rod for prayer.I had been addicted to pain pills for 20 years.Medication has made me gain up to 246lbs and I have never been big.I started beleiving that only God could keep me alive.i had very little life in me.My spirit was exhausted.First thing we agreed for me to drop the pain pills.It is done” I am losing the weight rapidly.I have new lungs and a new heart.A rejoicing spirit.i am alive and Rod Parsleys Ministry is why i am alive,saved,and on my way to heaven.I feel sorry for all of the negativity against Pastor Parsley.Because of it so many people could have the same love God gives me.Thank-you for all the daily prayers of agreement.Every day gets sweeter and sweeter.I love you Pastor Rod
