Jay Sekulow supports Mitt Romney for President (it appears)
March 19, 2007
Sekulow, the leader of the American Center for Law and Justice, told National Review
I don’t think Mormonism will play as an issue [in 2008]. It isn’t a disqualifier. We’re past that. I’m practical, and I’m impressed with [Gov. Romney] on the things that really matter.
Does Sekulow’s endorcement of Romney concern you, why or why not?

It is clear in this video that Jay Sekulow’s focus is on the judicial system, not faith. He even say’s on the video “For me that’s what really matters - how these judicial nominations come into play.” This is a shame, coming from someone who claims to be a Christian. Perhaps Mr. Sekulow should examine some of Romney’s mormon beliefs. Not only do mormons blaspheme our Lord by saying that Jesus is the brother of Satan, but they believe in an alien god (one who came from another planet) with his goddess wife, who has spirit children who will one day also grow and be gods. Furthermore, they believe that god had incestual relations with his daughter, Mary, who conceived Jesus. I could go on and on about this ridiculous cult! Why do so many evangelical leaders want this man in the White House? As far as I can see, the only good thing that can come out of this is that many people will begin to look closely at mormonism and see that it is a false religion.

I don’t know about the last comment that people will look more closely at Mormonism and find out it’s a cult. Our postmodern society prides themselves on quote religious tolerance. They think that what Mitt Romney believes is a private religious matter that shouldn’t disqualify him from running for President. Some people may find out that Mormonism is a cult but, I actually believe that this a great public relations for the Mormons. Mitt Romney may not win, but it’s certainly putting Mormonism in good light.

Jay,
before you say what really matters to you, ask your Lord- if you still claim to be his disciple - what matters most to Him.
If you can’t agree with most Christ’s followers, but agree with Mormon, who believe Jesus is spiritual brother of Satan, then I wonder if you can agree with Jesus that Christians believe. Of course, if your belive Mormons are Christians as well as you yourself, then I can accept at least your consistency.
